American Legion Post 28 would like to invite you to stop by and check out the latest upgrades to the post or just come up and have a good time among other Veterans, Sons, or Auxiliary members. We are a veteran family friendly post working to serve our veterans and community. Upgrades to Post 28 worth checking out include the latest new Flooring installation completed in Feb 2026, new HVAC unit 2025, new art mural on front of building 2025, new Kitchen renovation 2024, new sheds and Lawn equipment 2024, renovated bathrooms 2023, and Split-Mini AC units 2023. It is worth your time to come up, socialize with other Veterans, and join, renew, or transfer to Post 28 if eligible. Sunday Feb 15th special – Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, sweet peas, & dinner roll for $15 starting 2PM until gone.
On Wednesday, February 18th, between approximately 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, a documentary film crew will be on-site to capture footage of one of our members for a short documentary highlighting their life and achievements. Participation is entirely voluntary for anyone who may be present during filming.
We have several vacancies at the Post if you are interested. We will be looking to fill these vacancies. If you are interested, please come to the post, call us, or ask for Ms. Lori (Social Quarters Manager) if you are interested.

DIRECT INTERMENT PROGRAM
Although it doesn’t occur very often, there are situations in which a veteran, or spouse, is laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery WITHOUT anyone (other than the cemetery staff and the hearse driver) being present. It’s referred to as a “Direct Interment” burial, and/or a burial without attendees.
Volunteers are needed to help stand for these veterans and spouses, and ensure they receive the recognition they deserve. For more information on participating in the program, contact Scott Haller (legionridersp28@gmail.com)

Once your number is in the database, the Post will be able to keep you in the loop about events and specials happening in the Social Quarters.
