On Saturday October 16, 2021, volunteers Frank and Rico met to continue working on maintaining and improving the condition of the Post building. These volunteers were joined by the two new members to the Post – Dustin Singer and Mason Bennett – on installing metal flashing around the perimeter of the building roof to protect the existing wood. Thank you to these volunteers for all your hard work!
Our friends at Grover Gaming have provided a texting service for the Post. Members can sign up for the service by texting ALPOST28 to 65389 or if you would like the Post to manage the numbers, if you will send an e-mail to either the Adjutant at email@example.com or the Social Quarters Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org your number will be added to the program. Once your number is in the database the Post will be able to keep you in the loop about events, specials, and happenings in the Social Quarters. You can easily stop the text messages once you sign if you choose to do so.
As a reminder, if you plan on visiting the Social Quarters please keep the following in mind:
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic, The Governor and public health officials have recommended and implemented stringent measures to help contain the spread of the virus. While our Social Quarters are only for the use of our members and not open to the public, we are still required to follow all laws and regulations mandated by the Commonwealth. Those guidelines require we not allow entry for those without face coverings. Our obligation is to ensure employees have face masks available for their use, which we have done and will continue to do. We are not required to provide or supply face masks for those who desire to visit and use the Post facilities. Once allowed entry into the facility, we are obligated to ensure proper social distancing be maintained and if the manager on duty asks that those requirements be followed, and an individual refuses to follow the guidelines, they will be asked to leave the facility. To argue or otherwise criticize those who are working and providing a service to the members is unacceptable. The guidelines and rules mandated by the Commonwealth are in place to protect the health and welfare of the employees and members and they will be followed. While we appreciate your support and patronage, if you cannot join with us and adhere to all of the guidelines, it may be best to postpone your visit for a while. Thank you for your consideration during these very difficult times .
